RELIEF AID FOR THE FLOOD VICTIMS OF TUTONG DISTRICT

With reference to the recent devastating floods that have hit the Tutong District and in the spirit of National Day, Stella's School is organizing relief donations in the forms of clothing and food for the people affected.

We need your help...

• If you have any clothing/ T shirts/ Trousers etc (Adult and children size) that you no longer require please bag them up and pass them to the school. (This will be great chance for a 'Spring Clean'.
• Food. If you would like to donate food such as rice, Mee Goreng, Milo, Flour, Sugar, Susu manis or baby formula and tin food to name but a few, please pass them to the school so that we can box them up, ready for distribution.

We hope to have everything ready by Saturday, 5th February 2011.

So please bear in mind the next time you go shopping.. add a few things in your trolley for the victims of the flood, so that, as a Nation we can work together to try to easy their suffering.

BAKER BOOKS

It is one of our priorities to encourage children in our school to read a wide range of books. We are therefore pleased to offer parents of Stella's School the opportunity to purchase books for their children, at reasonable prices, from Baker Books (UK).

There will be a wide range of books to choose from all ages most of which are not available locally. From any purchase made, the school is able to select a minimum of 20% free books for our school library.

To purchase books please fill in the form clearly and include your child's class and choice of books together with the correct amount of payment.

YEAR ONE 2011

A warm welcome to Year one,

Please take note of the following:-

(i) Early Dismissal

From Wednesday 5th January 2011 until Saturday 15th January 2011 the Year 1 students will be dismissed slightly earlier than usual. This is make sure the students are safe as they are unfamiliar with the building and the routine of primary life. Parents/ Guardians are to collect directly from the class.

Morning - 11.35 am
Afternoon - 4.45 pm

(ii) Covering of Books

Please note that in Primary, exercise books are covered according to subject.

English - Red
Malay - Green
Science - Yellow
Maths - Blue

This is to help students indicate their subject books easier.

(iii) Homework Diary

Each students will be issued with a "Homework Diary". This is used to record homework, messages etc. Please check the diary on a regular bases and sign.

(iv) Timetable

Lesson are now 'Timetabled" a copy of the timetable can be found inside the homework diary. If you have any further inquiries don't hesitate to approach the class teacher.
